    Trip itinerary

Pure adventure in the tropics of the Indian Ocean – a lifelong dream is finally coming true! With boundless excitement, you board the plane and escape the daily grind. You lean back and can already hear the sound of the sea. Only a few more hours separate you from paradise in the Indian Ocean, and you spend them imagining all the wonderful experiences you'll have.

Accompanied by the stars in the sky, you fly at lightning speed to one of the most beautiful natural jewels on our planet. For a while, you see nothing but the vast, deep blue Indian Ocean, until it suddenly appears – an island straight out of a picture book.

You land, grab your hire car, step on the accelerator and head for Bel Ombre. Once there, it's time to put your feet up, enjoy the sun and relax. And where better to do just that than on a beautiful white sand beach?!

The day is dawning, the sun is shining and it's high time to start your adventure! You can already see today's destination from afar: Le Morne Brabant, a 1,824-foot-high giant that watches over the western part of the island. You leave your hire car in the car park and snap a pic for your hiking album before you get going. For the first half of the hike, you trek through the shady forest, watching the wildlife slowly awaken and the birds sing their songs. You hum along quietly and soon catch your first glimpse of the breathtaking landscape. Step by step, the view becomes more beautiful and the path gets steeper. The wide paths have now become narrow trails, and the explorer vibes abound! And suddenly, you're standing at the summit in amazement. In front of you, the sea shines in every imaginable shade of blue, interrupted only by green islands boasting beautiful bays and steep cliffs – 'Wow!' Now you've just got to snap another pic before beginning the descent!

Rainforest, rugged coast or white sand beaches? It's your last day, and you're gonna want to rock it again! If you opt for tropical greenery, hop in your hire car and head back towards Black River Gorge National Park because one of Mauritius's truly special highlights awaits you nearby. Not far from the national park is a platform where you're sure to be amazed. In the middle of dense forest lies a rainbow-coloured sand dune of red, brown, purple, pink, green, blue and yellow – the Seven Coloured Earth. What a sight! And the Chamarel Waterfall is no less special. The natural torrents plunge into the depths here like something straight out of a painting. How about a short hike back to the national park? After all, there are still a few more miles of trails just waiting to be conquered. And if you've enjoyed enough hiking already, you can head to Tamarind's coast and enjoy the beach vibes one last time. Bathe in the sun, cool off in perfectly turquoise water and sip some tropical cocktails. The choice is all yours. Make the most of it!
